INFORMATION FOR QUARANTINED STUDENTS
Students should have their CCPS-issued device (iPad or laptop) with a charger at home. Teachers will post assignments on Google Classroom.
Username: lastname.firstname@ccpsstudent.org
Password: (school) lunch number (no space)
Quarantined students in need of help with assignments may connect with a tutor at the school 3:00 to 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. Zoom links for tutors may be found on the student’s Google Classroom.
Guidelines:
- Join the Zoom early so teachers have enough time to help you.
- If a teacher is with another student, they may message you to wait a few minutes, ask you to join at a later time, or work with multiple students at a time.
- If there is a day a teacher is unavailable, the sheet will say “Unavailable” and the date, next to the teacher’s name - log in the next day for help.
If your home does not have internet access (to connect with Google Classroom), a Kajeet Smartspot may be available through the school. If the device does not enable connectivity, please contact the school.

General Information FAQs
Masks are now required for all individuals inside Caroline County Public Schools buildings, regardless of vaccination status, when students are present.
Please visit the CCPS Back to School page which includes a Frequently Asked Question section about the mask requirement.
In accordance with Federal mandate, all students and staff are required to wear masks while riding a school bus.
All students participating in the Car Rider program will be assigned a Car Rider number. The number will appear on two vehicle placards, and two book bag tags. A book bag tag MUST be attached to the student’s book bag so our staff can dismiss the student from class at the appropriate time, and place the student into the correct vehicle. We recommend attaching your vehicle placard to the passenger side sun visor to easily flip down during pickups. This is much easier for us to read, especially on taller vehicles or in very sunny conditions.
Parents/guardians assume full responsibility for their vehicle placards, making sure they’re transferred between vehicles when necessary, and reporting any lost/stolen placards. If you need additional copies of your vehicle placard, or a new car rider number assigned, please contact Ms. Winstead in the main office at 410-479-1660.
Car Rider Procedures:
-
- Car Rider doors open at 8:45am, students will remain in their vehicles until this time.
- Car Rider doors remain open until 9:00am. If you arrive late, please park in the front lot (not the bus loop), escort your child into the building, and sign them in at the front office. Do not drop off your child to walk into the main entrance unattended.
- DES dismissal begins at 3:40pm every day. Doors close at 4:00. If you arrive late, you’ll need to park in the front lot (not the bus loop), come inside, and sign your child out at the front office.
- Have your vehicle placard clearly displayed, or you will be asked to park in the front lot, enter the building, and sign out your student in the main office.
When there are changes to the transportation of your child, it is critical that you notify the school by 10:00 AM. We need time to communicate transportation changes to all parties involved so your child leaves the building in the appropriate manner, and arrives safely at his/her final destination each day.
