Junior Jamie Mensonides participated in the Maryland Forest Foundation's Natural Resources Careers Camp this summer! This highly selective program serves as an introduction for high school students who want to work in the natural resources field. Jamie learned about forestry, met with Natural Resources Police recruiters, explored college options, climbed trees with Bartlett Tree Services, and visited a sawmill in Pennsylvania! #ColonelTOUGH



We're locking in for a great start to the 2025-2026 school year! Our Open House will be on August 27th with upperclassmen from 5:30-6:30 PM and freshmen from 6:30-7:30 PM. Stay tuned for more details about our community partners and food trucks that will be attending!

Welcome to our new science teacher, Ms. Lilly Fooks! She graduated from Salisbury University’s Clarke Honors College with a degree in environmental biology and was on the SU Poms Dance Team all four years. During her time at SU, she had the opportunity to do research on owls for over two years. When she’s not at school, you can find her dancing, reading, or taking pictures of the local wildlife here on the Eastern Shore!

Congratulations to rising senior Manny Fletcher for completing the UMES High School Teacher University program this summer! He successfully completed one college course through this rigorous program, and he's the first in Caroline County to do so! #ColonelTOUGH

Advanced Placement (AP) scores have been released, and our CRHS students excelled! We had more students than ever take an AP test to earn college credit - over 60 students passed! This translates into over 180 college credits earned by our students.

Welcome to our new assistant principal, Ms. Eileen Gardner! Ms. Gardner is originally from New Jersey, but has lived in New York, Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland. She received her bachelor's degree from Loyola University Maryland and her master's degree from the University at Buffalo. She is coming from Montgomery County Public Schools where she served as a media specialist, assistant school administrator, and assistant principal. She is a proud Army spouse and parent! In her free time, she loves to read and travel.

Rising senior Manny Fletcher is locked in for this summer! He is participating in the UMES High School Teacher University through their Men of Color in Education Program. He will stay on campus for three weeks and take college course. When he is finished, he will have earned college credit towards a degree and be qualified for a $1,500 scholarship! #ColonelTOUGH


Congratulations to rising senior Tyler Gross for signing an apprenticeship agreement with Crystal Steel! Tyler was a student in the Advanced Manufacturing Program at the Caroline Career & Technology Center, and he's also taken a welding course through Chesapeake College's dual enrollment program. #ColonelTOUGH
