Update on 12/8/25: Denton Elementary School will be open to students and staff tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 9. We are happy to share that the plumbing issue has been resolved, and it is safe for the building to be open and operating normally tomorrow. Thank you to CCPS staff, the plumbing contractor, and the Town of Denton for working together to get the issue fixed as quickly as possible. We also appreciate our staff and families for their patience and understanding.
12/7/25: DES families and staff have been notified by email, text, and phone call that due to an issue impacting the plumbing at the school, DES will be closed on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025. We will provide updates as they become available.

Caroline Family - Please mark your calendars with the following adjustments:
*Friday, February 6: Now a half day for students and a full day for staff
*Monday, February 16 (Presidents Day): Now a full day for students and staff
*Monday, March 16: Now a full day for students and staff
These adjustments were made due to the recent inclement weather days used, and in an effort to avoid extending the school year. With these changes, and if no further inclement weather days are used, the last day of school for students remains June 17, 2025 (half-day).
